Olive Wood Grotto

Olive Wood Grotto

The Olive Wood Grotto is a brilliant form of woodworking skill and craftsmanship. The Bible contains several passages describing the work of one's hands. In the book of Exodus, Moses set out to find the most skilled trade workers in various professions to be involved with the construction of the tabernacle. Exodus 35:35 says, "He has filled them with skill to do every kind of work done by an artisan or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue, purple, and crimson yarns, and in fine linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of artisan or skilled designer" (ESV).

Where Do Olive Wood Trees Grow?

Olive trees are native to Israel as well as other sub-tropical regions in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

    Nice "compact" Nativity

Posted by Dave on 8th Dec 2020

Be sure to check the dimensions - this is not a "full sized" nativity set. Got this for my Son who is having his first Advent in his new home. The one shipped to him looks every bit as good as the picture on the website. My family owns a lot of olive wood figurines from multiple trips to the Holy Land. I would say the quality of this piece is quite good.
